Pioneers and leaders of organic winegrowing, the Fetzer family established the benefits of ecological practices and a green lifestyle in the 1960’s.  In 1993, Jim Fetzer, former president of Fetzer Vineyards, founded Ceago Vinegarden, a vibrant, 163-acre Biodynamic farm with vineyards, orchards, lavender fields and vegetable gardens, olive and walnut groves, livestock and poultry.  Ceago has been on the forefront of Biodynamic® viticulture, certified by Demeter in 1996.
